Abstract

The article analyses the role of poetic fragments in forming the ideological and artistic structure of Xayriddin Sulton’s novel “Yaldo kechasi”, published in 2025. The study applies structural-semantic and intertextual analysis and hermeneutic interpretation, and explains the interplay of verse and prose on the basis of the views of Yuri Lotman, Mikhail Bakhtin, Gérard Genette, Julia Kristeva and Roman Jakobson. It is shown how the verses of Muhammad Sharif Gulxaniy cited as the epigraph of the work relate to the title of the novel, its symbolic layer and its depiction of the historical period. The study demonstrates that the poetic fragments in the novel are not merely ornamental but function as an ideological key, a paratextual boundary, a means of intertextual connection and an emotional accent.
