Communication is a fundamental social imperative through which individuals interact, exchange ideas, and satisfy their cognitive and emotional needs. In an increasingly globalized world, the dynamics of interpersonal communication expand into intercultural contexts, where differences in language, values, psychological mindsets, and cultural backgrounds introduce complex challenges. This paper explores the theoretical foundations of communication, analyzing both verbal and non-verbal channels as well as emotional and psychological dimensions. Drawing upon insights from communication theory, psychology, and international assessment frameworks such as PISA, the study emphasizes the critical role of diversity, tolerance, and empathy in educational settings. Furthermore, it highlights the necessity for modern educators to transition from monocultural paradigms to multicultural teaching environments by developing high Cultural Intelligence (CQ) and intercultural communication competence.
